Because Family is everything
"Cancer affects so many families and it can feel so overwhelming. To reach out and help others who are going through a hard time, emotionally and financially, it's very gratifying"

Beau was diagnosed at 16 months old with Stage 3 Neuroblastoma. This is a very rare form of cancer affecting the nerve cells, which most commonly affects young children.
Since October of 2016, Beau has been undergoing surgeries, aggressive chemotherapy and stem cell transplants
keeping him in isolation 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for up to 6 weeks at a time.
This unfortunately limits the normality of life that most toddlers are accustomed to such as playing with their siblings and pets.
In the coming weeks and months, things do not get easier. Beau is scheduled for 20 rounds of radiation, and 6 months worth of antibodies treatment keeping him in the ICU for 6 days at a time. Hopefully, the last step will be a trial program requiring him and his family to travel to Grand Rapids multiple times a year for blood work and scans.
We hope as a committee to be able to provide some sort of financial relief for this truly deserving family. We will be raising funds at our event this August as well as collecting donations and raffle items prior.
Please consider donating to our cause in honor of Beau, and attending our event at Square Celt Ale House on Saturday, August 26th from 2-6PM.
